Q:  What Insurance Excess Deposit is required when hiring a vehicle 

A:  R 5,000.00 to R10,000.00 - depending on the vehicle year, make and model as well as the age of the driver and how long they have had their drivers license for.


Q:  How can we pay for our vehicle hire?

A:  We offer a credit card facility.  We also accept EFT (Direct Transfers).  Due to the high crime rate in our country we don't accept cash any longer.


Q:  When do I get my insurance excess deposit back?

A:  The deposit if refunded with in 48 to 72 hours of returning the vehicle less any deductions for damages, petrol or cleaning that needs to be charged for.


Q:  What is your insurance cover?

A:  Our insurance is fully comprehensive - your excess deposit is what will be charged should the vehicle be written off of stolen, so the entire deposit is then used for the excess on the vehicle.  Whether the incident was your fault or not the insurance company charges the excess amount to us...so you, the client will be liable for that amount.  Any minor damages to the vehicle will be deducted from your deposit.  You need to have your own belongings insured and have your own life insurance...the company only covers the vehicle. 


Q:  How many KM's do you get per day?

A:  When you hire a vehicle you get 200km FREE per day included in your daily rate.  But when on a monthly rental you get 4000km's Free for every 30 Days


Q:  Do you offer discounts on longer periods of vehicle hire?  For instance is there a special rate on monthly hires?

A:  We do offer discounts on longer periods of car hire...and we do offer monthly rates.


Q:  What year model is the car?

A:  Our cars range from 2009 to 2021 year models.  We are constantly changing our fleet by purchasing newer vehicles.  Our older year models are well maintained, licensed and roadworthy.


Q:  What type of cars do you have?

A:  We have a range of Hyundai i10's, Getz, Atos, Kia Picanto - but the fleet does change all the time.


Q:  Are your car rentals sedan or hatchback and what colour?

A:  Sedan and hatchbakcs - mostly white but other colours as well.


Q:  Where is your car hire company situated?

A:  We currently work remotely (from home).  We do deliver and collect all our vehicles.


Q:  What are the charges for delivery and collection?

A:  R250.00 - during office hours and R350.00 - Sundays and after hours.


Q:  Do we collect and deliver to the airport?

A:  Yes, within reasonable hours


Q:  How does the petrol work?  (Who pays for the petrol?)

A:  The client is responsible for their own fuel cost.


Q:  Can we hire a car for 1 day only?

A:  We have been focusing on long term hires.  However our min hire is 2 days.


Q:  What is the minimum age to rent a car?

A:  Due to the insurance excess that doubles with drivers under the age of 21 - we prefer the driver to be 21 years and older. 


Q:  What type of driver's license is accepted?

A:  A valid South African driver's license card or a valid international driver's license with your passport will be accepted.  An English translation is required for licenses recorded in a foreign language. 


Q:  What is the cost for an additional driver and what is this cost for?

A:  R150.00 once off fee is charged to add an additional driver to the contract.  This is for risk and administration related costs for multiple drivers.


Q:  What happens if you get a traffic fine?

A:  The renter is liable for any traffic fines/vilations received while hiring the vehicle.  We charge a R100.00 handling fee for any traffic fines received and charge that plus the fine amount.  Or we redirect the fine to the driver of the vehicle.


Q:  When will my final invoice be ready?

A:  We invoice the client in advance for the hire as the payment is due in advance for the hire.  When the vehicle has been returned we will provide a  Refund Statement that will show deduction if there were any.  That along with the POP will be send to you in the 48 to 72 hour window.


Q:  What is a typical car rental cycle?

A:  Our car rentals are charged on a 24 hour cycles.  Late return of a vehicle will result in renter's being charged for an additional day.


Q:  What if I want to extend my vehicle hire period?

A:  If you wish to extend the car rental beyond the original return date, contact Bizzy Car Hire prior to the expiry of your rental agreement and inform them of your intention of extending.  Failure to do so will result in Bizzy Car Hire assuming that the hire is being extended and will be charged accordingly.  If the client hasn't contacted us or is unreachable the vehicle will be reported stolen. 


Q:  Am I allowed to do long distance with the vehicle?

A:  Because we are a small business and have no sister office or outlets - we do not allow our vehicles further thank 150km radius of Cape Town
